Artist Self-Confidence and Pride
Artist Self-Confidence and Pride is a personal article about artwork created with the idea of positive influence and personal growth. I made the art shown here with a free online editor and many different images, turning each into an overlay. You can learn how in my tutorials. Making this art was not difficult. It was, however, difficult to consider and conceptualize. I had to ask myself…
What gives me self confidence and pride as an artist?
That thought process was interesting. It went like this.. If not for art, I would be a writer, I think. I would need to be much better at writing than I am now, of course, but I have a tickle or spark when I write certain things in certain ways. I rarely dislike anything I write and upon stumbling onto my texts much later, I find a sense of accomplishment and am encouraged to write more. I feel that way about my artwork. I trust the sum of my life experience, core values and subconscious ability to connect and reach out with truth, acknowledgement, validation, empathy, understanding and love. I am also enamored with pushing boundaries and asking questions that require my voice, the ones that make me nervous or angry or just won’t leave me alone until I have expressed or expelled it with pixels of color and light or paint and canvas. I try to create a soft spot of definition, clarity, understanding, adaptation and a generalizing opportunity to let the mind wander in thought, to consider. I hope my work would offer a safe place, a moment for emotional release or at the very least, acknowledgment of emotion. I want to make art that might inspire anyone in some way, that could create the opportunity for connection no matter who they are or what they see when viewing my art.
I will probably never know what influence my art has or will have on others. I must assume my efforts make some sort of difference in another’s life. In fact, my art makes a difference in my life. Now that is something special. Find your inspiration in my inspiration art gallery
This artwork is called Nanabite. It cracks me up. You gotta keep a sense of humor, especially about your own work. The large featured image is called Self Confidence and Pride. I made both digital artworks with PicMonkey a free online photo editor. I have a pro account with the Monkey and love it greatly. I am proud of my art in a way I know is not only good but will inspire me to keep creating. There have been many cycles set to stone in my life, some good, some bad. In my 40th decade, I have discovered that I may set in motion designed cycles of my choice and making. This cycle of self-confidence mixed with a proper amount of pride is one I can support with my whole heart.
